Welcome to the first Catch Up of 2018. Let’s get straight to it!
Life Updates: If you follow me on any of my social medias, you might already be aware that I got engaged on the first of January. There is a funny story to this; When I designed my 2018 bullet journal set up, I wrote one very important goal in it – Get Engaged. This was written for fun, to be honest. I did, however, enter into 2018 with a bang! On 31st December, they proposed (he & his family), and I said yes on the 1st of January. This was such a beautiful moment of my life; and I am happy with the choice I made. Alhamdolillah.
This month, I met some super talented and amazing people; one of them being Jadirah Sarmad. We became friends instantly when we first met while shooting for her Look Book in my university. I’m so proud to be a part of such a community that enables me to meet such kind-hearted, sweet and talented people, and be a part of their lives and let them be a part of mine.
I have been taking classes of Tajweed-e-Quran, and I’m loving it. I learned so many new things and corrected so many mistakes of mine; I love reciting Quran now more than ever.
My university started and I took up the major of Industrial Psychology. Just one more year, and I’ll hold a Masters degree in my subject.
Lesson Learned: Gratitude is all it takes to be able to lead a happier life. If you are positive and if you think positive, you will attract positive in your life. If you keep negative expectations from everyone, you’ll attract negativity in your life. Same goes with self-love. If you love yourself and if you respect yourself; nobody would dare disrespect you.
Entertainment Tracker: I completed reading “How to be a Bawse” by Lilly Singh. It is such a bomb read and I’m so happy that I got to get my hands on it and have it in my life. It is such an inspiring book; I love every single chapter of it because each has a history of its own.
I did not expect Jumanji 2 to be such a good movie. To be honest, I was skeptical about it since I know how Hollywood ruins all the classics and all the novels, but this movie was beyond amazing! I loved every single bit of it. If you haven’t, you should totally watch it. Also, how can you not gawk at Dwayne?
