Hey everyone! I’m back with my monthly catch ups. Let’s get straight into it since I have a lot to talk about.
I changed my Instagram and the sole reason for that was that I had too many followers. I’m not joking. I had a good number of followers on the previous account but my engagement sucked! I couldn’t take it anymore as it gave me anxiety at almost every minute. I was starting to question my work, and I couldn’t have that because if I don’t believe in my work, I can not expect anyone else to. So, I changed my Instagram account for a fresh start. I know it’s going to be very hard to reach back to where I was before, but at least it’s a start. It’s worth it because it’s my happy place and I’d like to keep it that way. What I learned:
This month I had a few disputes in my work place. I’m the kind of person that a bit too decisive, so I like to take actions head on. This month I learned that I need to weigh my options and think before making a decision. I learned that it’s okay to ignore, it’s okay if not everything is under your control. I learned to let go.
What I’m Watching:
I’m currently obsessed with The 100! It’s such a good show, I don’t know why I wasn’t addicted to it before. I’ve watched 2 seasons in, like, a week. It’s crazy! Astronomy has always fascinated me and this show gave it to me. Loved the concept, the storyline, the characters, the fact that they aren’t Mary-sue; everything! P.s., I totally ship Bellamy and Clarke, no joke.
Other than that, I’ve started watching Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb, solely because of Zahid Ahmed and his character. Apparently, he’s suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder, or Split (multiple) Personality Disorder, as commonly known. Since I’ve studied Psychology, anything involving such themes fascinate me. I just hope they don’t disappoint us by adding facts of their own to the disorder, you know, other than the ones proven by the field of Psychology.
P.s., I tired watching Vampire Diaries, but I don’t think I’m gonna continue. It kinda bored me. Should I continue?
What I’ve Watched:
I’ve watched two Pakistani TV Dramas:
Suno Chanda 2 – It was good, no doubt, but it kinda got annoying. Suno Chanda 1 was a classic. The ending of this second season was shitty, too. I mean, everything got resolved by saying sorry in the last scene; it kinda frustrated me. There was no real issue; just two adults acting like children. They probably tried showing the “reality” of life, but honestly, it doesn’t happen in real life. Shahana, though, made everything ten times better. If it wasn’t for this character, I wouldn’t have watched it till the end.
Ranjha Ranjha Kardi – I loved it! Everything was perfect in this TV drama. People loved Imran Ashraf’s character which was good, no doubt, but Iqra Aziz’s character was so good! Noori was a grey character, as stated by Iqra herself, she wasn’t black or white; she was grey. She was human. And I loved the way her story was portrayed.
I’ve also watched a movie or two (Okay, more!) during the busy days at the studio.
Gully Boy – It is such a good movie. I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. Everything about it was perfect. The ending was perfect, too. It didn’t show his being a millionaire, because that would have been too fairy tale-ish. He was successful, yes, but more than that, he was heard.
Thugs of Hindostan – Okay, true story, I wasn’t sure if I should watch this movie or not seeing the low reviews, but I did. Since I’m a huge fan of Pirates of The Caribbean, and I knew it was the same theme (Duh, even the movie name is copied), I gave it a try. I’m not in favor of copying, but it wasn’t a bad movie. It was nowhere near Pirates of the Caribbean but it was a good watch on its own. I loved the story. This movie was actually a breath of fresh air from Bollywood.
What I’m reading:
The Song in the Night – Truth be told, I’m just pretending to read this book. It’s been months and I can’t finish it. It gets boring, to be honest.
What I’m Listening to:
I’m obsessed with Imagine Dragons! Right now, Next to me and Bad Liar is on repeat. I love it. (Imagine me clapping with every word!)
Product of the month:
Morphe Continuous Mist Setting Spray thingy is so good! It handles the base so well. You need to try it to understand.
