Eyeshadow palettes! Aren’t we knee deep, drowning in those things? I feel like the beauty community has a become a war zone trying to crown the next best eyeshadow palette, trying to come out with the next best makeup product, and trying to be the best at everything. Well, I say that it’s just makeup; pick up what you like and use it. End of story.
I love eyeshadow palettes; they are handy, the colors are beautifully assembled (so different looks can easily be created), and generally, I love playing with them. As a beauty blogger and a makeup artist, I like to experience a lot of different eyeshadow palettes to create different looks. But when it come to someone who just needs an eyeshadow palette to use on the daily basis, usually one or two palettes are more than enough. For someone like that, I would definitely suggest the Jaclyn Hill Palette by Morphe, as it has a huge range of wearable shades. But if that’s a too big of a palette for someone, the four different ones in her vault collection are also really nice!
Today, under the spotlight we have one such palette from the vault collection; Bling Boss. This retails for $15 each, and can be bought as a part of the whole collection for $49 at Morphe.com
This palette has a beautiful range of colors that can be worn on a daily basis, and even for dramatic looks. I love creating different looks with it for my Instagram, and also gravitate towards it when I’m going out.
The packaging is sleek white with silver confetti like detailing. There is a small mirror inside and the best part for me is that the shade names are printed on the actual palette, unlike the Jaclyn Hill palette.
This is a more pink toned eyeshadow palette, so if someone is more of a gold person than pink, this palette might not be for them. Although, I suggest; get all the four palettes and you’re good to go for any and every event.
It has a nice range of mattes and shimmers. It also has a sequin shade called Berry Treasure which is one of a kind shade. It’s more of a black with hints of berry colored shimmer flecks. It’s absolutely gorgeous. However, the first swatch shows more of the flecks than the later uses, and the shimmer is not too prominent when applied to the eyes.
This palette includes the shades:
- Bling Bling
- Hush Hush
- Gem
- Pizzazz
- Mystic
- Sparks
- Glitz & Glam
- Rockstar
- Ballsy
- Berry Treasure
PROS
- Affordable
- Travel friendly
- High quality
- Sleek packaging
- Wearable shades
CONS
- Not easily available in Pakistan
- Packaging can get a bit dirty
And that concludes today’s post! I hope you enjoyed reading this. Stay tuned for the next one. I try to upload every Monday, so stay tuned for the next one!
With positive energy; I’ll see you next time!
